KLM Dutch Airlines Leaves Georgia

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced on January 20 that it plans to leave Georgia, citing the economic unprofitability of its activities.

“The company has analyzed its activities in 2005 and found that they have been unprofitable…There is no other reason,” Head of the Civil Aviation Department Giorgi Mzhavanadze said on January 20.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines launched operations in Georgia two years ago. KLM operated three weekly Amsterdam-Tbilisi flights with Boeing 737-900 airplanes.
