Tbilisi may Ignore JCC Session
Despite an announcement made by the South Ossetian side and Russian Foreign Ministry about planned session of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) scheduled for December 8 in Tskhinvali, it is yet unclear whether the Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Giorgi Khaindrava will participate in this session.
According to the Office of the Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues the Georgian side was not informed about planned session in advance.
The Russian Foreign Ministry reported on December 7 that ?an emergency session? of the JCC will be held on Thursday because of ?extremely deteriorated situation? in the South Ossetian conflict zone.
The quadripartite JCC involves negotiators from the Georgian, South Ossetian, Russian and Russia?s North Ossetian sides.
