NATO-Georgia Transit Deal Ratified
The Georgian Parliament ratified on October 13 a transit agreement between Georgia and NATO.
The agreement, which was signed by Georgian Foreign Minister Salome Zourabichvili and NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer on March 2 in Brussels, envisages the use of Georgia?s air space, road and rail infrastructure for transit purposes by NATO forces.
