Burjanadze, Russian Ambassador Discuss South Ossetia

Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze met with the Russian Ambassador to Georgia Vladimir Chkhikvishvili in the Parliament on September 22 and discussed recent developments in the South Ossetian conflict zone. 

Vladimir Chkhikvishvili told reporters after the meeting that the situation remains tense and criminal actions are also frequent in the conflict zone.

He also said that the Russian peacekeepers are sparing no efforts to preserve peace in the conflict zone.

He was speaking with reporters after talks with the Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze.
