Judge Arrested for Suspected Bribe-Taking

On october 11 police arrested Alexandre Taliashvili, judge of the Didube-Chugureti district court of Tbilisi, who is accused of alleged corruption.

Deputy Prosecutor General Batu Kutelia said at a news briefing that the judge “was arrested while taking USD 500 as a bribe.”

A few months back a judge in the Batumi courts sysyem was also arrested for alleged bribery.
