“Alarming” Procedural Violations Reported in Kvemo Kartli Region

Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Zurab Tchiaberashvili raised concern over a number of serious violations at the two precincts of the Kvemo Kartli district and described them as “alarming.”

He said because of the cases of double voting by the same persons and distribution of already marked ballot papers, election results might be annulled in several precincts of Kvemo Kartli region, which is notorious for ballot-rigging.

The CEC Chairman requested the General Prosecutor’s Office to bring criminal charges regarding these cases.
