More Than a Half of Estimated Voters Registered

According to the Central Election Commission (CEC) more than 1,7 million voters have undergone registration since December 15. There are around 2,6 million voters in Georgia.

From December 15 to December 25 the voters had to go to the precincts and fill out the special forms, which would enable them to cast a ballot at a January 4 snap presidential elections.

The Central Election Commission will make further corrections to the voter lists in cooperation with the Interior and Justice Ministries, as well as with other relevant state agencies. The finalized voter lists will be posted at the polling stations on December 28.
