Blast at Presidential Candidate’s Home

An explosive devise blasted outside the home of Temur Shashiashvili, who is the presidential candidate and the former governor of Imereti region in Shevardnadze’s government. No one was injured.

Temur Shashiashvili said that the explosion was an attempt to frighten him on the eve of the January 4 presidential elections.
