Russian Company Works over Power Facilities Rehabilitation in Abkhazia

(Tbilisi, July 25, 2003, Civil Georgia) – The Unified Energy Systems of Russia (UES) is elaborating a draft over rehabilitation of power facilities in Abkhazia, Spokesperson of the UES Tatiana Miliaeva told Civil Georgia on July 24.

The Sochi agreement between the Presidents of Russia and Georgia implies the participation of the UES in rehabilitation of power facilities located in breakaway Abkhazia.

The Russian company confirms that it considers the purchase of power facilities in Georgia, however it makes no comments regard!
ing the possible deal between the AES-Telasi and the Russian UES.
