US Ambassador Concerned About the Bombardment

(Tbilisi, August 23, 2002, Civil Georgia) – US Ambassador to Georgia Richard Miles expressed concern about Russian jets having bombed the Georgian territory and stated that such actions towards the neighboring country are alarming and inadmissible.

Richard Miles hopes that the fact will be followed by corresponding reaction.

The US Ambassador expressed sorrow for the victim of the bombardment.
