Salaries Drawn in Commando Battalion

(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, August 19, 2002) – On August 17 first salaries were drawn in Commando Battalion at the Iagluji military base, informs GEA, information agency. Commando Battalion is one of the selected military units for the Georgian Train and Equip Program.   

According to contracts, soldiers receive 400 GEL, while officers more than 600 GEL.

443 servicemen have already signed contracts in Commando Battalion. Selection process was completed on 15 of August.

Four military units will be trained and equipped under the joint Georgian-American program.
