President Shevardnadze Postpones His Visit to Azerbaijan Because of Murder of Journalist

In connection with the murder of famous Georgian journalist Giorgi Sanaia, President of Georgia Eduard Shevardnadze delayed his visit to Azerbaijan, scheduled for today for several days. During the visit, Shevardnadze would have signed package of documents, regarding transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Turkey through Georgia. This project is of utmost importance for Georgia.

Giorgi Sanaia, leading journalist of an independent TV channel “Rustavi 2” (most high rating channel in the country) has been found dead in his apartment yesterday. He has firearm injury in his head.
