Parliamentary Committee Discusses Ombudsman’s Report

Lawmakers from the parliamentary committee on human rights meet with Public Defender, Giorgi Tugushi, on December 10 to discuss the latter’s report on human rights situation in the country.

Drawing up of the report, covering the first half of 2009, was started before expiration of ex-public defender Sozar Subari’s term in office in mid-September and it was finalized under the supervision of his successor Giorgi Tugushi.

After the parliamentary committee hearing the report is expected to be discussed at the parliamentary session.
