Saakashvili Meets Ruling Party

President Saakashvili is meeting with lawmakers from the ruling National Movement party. Reportedly, Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze is not attending the meeting.

Burjanadze said on April 21 that she would not run in the May 21 parliamentary elections under the ruling party banner, citing a failure to agree with other National Movement leaders over the party-list.
