Wind Blows Roof off Airport Again
A portion of tin sheeting from the roof of Tbilisi International Airport terminal was ripped off by strong winds on March 15. The winds have also caused a number of flight delays, Economy Minister Eka Sharashidze said.
Tbilisi Airport terminal, which was constructed just a year ago, is operated by Tepe-Akfen-Vie (TAV), a Turkish company. Its roof was blown off by strong winds last February, just tens days after it was officially opened on February 7.
