State Minister Briefs Foreign Diplomats on S.Ossetia

State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Giorgi Khaindrava met with a number of foreign diplomats on February 14 and briefed them on the Russian peacekeepers’ performance in the South Ossetian conflict zone.

Khaindrava said after talks that he told the U.S., British, French and German Ambassadors, as well as the Head of OSCE Mission to Georgia, that the Russian peacekeepers are “failling to fulfill their mandate.”

The issues related with the upcoming meeting of the quadripartite Joint Control Commission, which is scheduled for February 20-21 in Vienna, were also discussed during the talks.
