Zourabichvili Describes 2006 as Crucial for Conflict Resolution

Georgian Foreign Minister Salome Zourabichvili said on October 6 that the 2006 year will be crucial for settlement of Abkhaz and South Ossetian conflicts.

Salome Zourabichvili was speaking at the joint session of the Parliamentary Committees for Foreign Relations and European Integration about the activities of the Ministry. She said, it is necessary to develop a uniform strategy for conflict resolution with the involvement of international organizations, including NATO, OSCE and the European Union.

?The Russian Federation should also be involved in this process…,? the Georgian Foreign Minister added.

Zourabichvili also noted that by the end of 2005 Georgia should have a real, uniform action plan for conflict resolution.
