First-Ever NGO Fair Opens in Tbilisi

Fifty-five Georgian civil society organizations participate on April 1-2 in NGO Fair in Tbilisi, which is the first of this kind ever held in Georgia.

The two-day event, which involves exhibitions, panel discussions, and educational presentations about the activities of NGOs in Georgia, is organized in frames of USAID-funded three-year Citizens Advocate! Program (CAP). This program, which is implemented by Save the Children and a coalition of six Georgian organizations, aims at promotion of citizens? and interests and to affectively advocate their cause.

During the NGO Fair the Friends of Civil Society Development awards will be given to three individuals who have been exceptionally supportive of the development and strengthening of civil society in Georgia during recent years.
