Georgian President Appoints New Spokesman
On March 9 President Saakashvili appointed Gela Charkviani as his new spokesperson.
Gela Charkviani was a long-time chief advisor to Georgia?s ex-President Eduard Shevardnadze for foreign policy issues.
?When this person [Gela Charkviani] speaks, it means that the Georgian President speaks,? Mikheil Saakashvili told reporters.
Charkviani replaced Alana Gagloeva at the position of Presidential spokesperson. The latter will become the deputy spokesperson of the Georgian President.
