Parliament Eases Requirements for Establishing the Faction
The number of parliamentarians required to set up a parliamentary faction has been downsized from ten to seven as a result of a constitutional amendment unanimously approved by the Parliament on February 23.
This new rule will only apply to the next Parliament, which will be convened in 2008, it is linked to Parliament’s previous decision to downsize the number of MP seats from 235 to 150.
