Tarriffs Liberalized, International Communications Costs Expected to Fall
The National Communications Commission of Georgia (NCC) made a decision to abolish the minimal tarriff rate for international phonecalls starting March 15, 2005.
Observers agree that the official minimum rates were keeping the communications prices above market level. It is expected that a “price war” between the telecom companies will follow the NCC decision and that prices may go down by as much as 30-40%.
