Prime Minister Visits South Ossetia

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania, accompanied by State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Goga Khaindrava, traveled to breakaway South Ossetia on January 9.

Zurab Zhvania visited the Georgian village of Kheiti in the South Ossetian conflict zone and met with the local population there.

?Very soon the President [Mikheil Saakashvili] will present peace plans for the settlement of the South Ossetian and Abkhazian conflicts. Our army and the State is stronger now, but we want to solve these conflicts through peaceful means,? Zurab Zhvania told Rustavi 2 television on January 9.
