Supreme Court Chairman Resigns

Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia Lado Chanturia filed his resignation on June 11.
 
?I think that I have exhausted my capacities for this post. Everything must end sometime,? Lado Chanturia said on June 11.
 
President Saakashvili accepted his resignation and thanked him for his contributions to the judicial system, adding that Lado Chanturia would continue to work as his adviser for legal issues.
 
According to unofficial reports, the Georgian Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Kote Kemularia, might take over the chairmanship left vacant by Mr. Chanturia’s departure.
