Two Major Parties Merge
Two major political parties President Saakashvili”s National Movement and State Minister Zurab Zhvania”s United Democrats announced today about merger.
The leaders of the union intend to gain majority seats in the March 28 parliamentary elections.
“We decided to unite last November, during the “rose revolution” and we want to create a party, which would represent the interests of the majority of the Georgia”s population,” Zurab Zhvania told a press conference on January 28.
