Interior Minister Warns Over Disorders
Georgian Interior Minister Koba Narchemashvili said at a special news briefing today that the supporters of several opposition MP candidates in the single-mandate constituency will try to intrude in the polling stations of Tbilisi and other regions.
“I declare that we are strong enough to control the situation. We call on these people to avoid taking this step. In case of emergency, we have the right to maintain order and avoid any destabilization in the country,” Koba Narchemashvili said.
However, he refrained from naming the particular opposition parties, who probably were preparing the attacks on the polling stations.
