New Equipment Handed to the Georgian Military under GTEP

(Tbilisi, August 30 2002, Civil Georgia) – Today new ammunition and military uniforms were handed to the Georgian servicemen in the framework of GTEP.

Tactical training of Georgian army began yesterday. American instructors will train another 400 Georgian servicemen.

GTEP is carried out with the support of US government. The United States allocated $64 millions for this purpose. The ammunition was reportedly procured in Czech Republic.
