8 Russian Border Guards Killed by Russians Themselves

(Tbilisi, August 26 2002, Civil Georgia) On 25 of August Deputy Minister for Internal Affairs of Ingushetia Khazmatan Albakov stated that the two Russian soldiers, who escaped a few days ago, killed 8 Russian border guards.

8 Russian soldiers were killed on 22 of August at the Nazran. On 25 of August representative of Russian Federal Boarder Guard issued a statement according to which “8 soldiers could be kidnapped by the Chechen rebels and taken to Georgia”.
