US Military Trainers Arrival Delayed Because of Technical Problems

The US military instructors’ arrival to Georgia is delayed because of technical problems, Georgian President Shevardnadze stated at the briefing on April 8.

Eduard Shevardnadze said that US military trainers should learn Georgian at least on elementary level.

“US instructors will arrive by all means, couple of weeks later or earlier does not change anything,” President Shevardnadze stated.

According to the Georgian Deputy Defence Minister Gela Bezhuashvili US military trainers are to arrive to Georgia in late April.

They will train 4 battalions of Georgian Defence Ministry in antiterrorist activity.
