Shevardnadze Says Series of Explosions in Abkhazia Provocation

(Tbilisi, March 29, Civil Georgia) – Recent terrorist acts in Abkhazia are part of provocation against Georgia, President Shevardnadze stated on March 29.

“I am sure Georgian side and Georgian guerrillas have nothing common to these explosions,” Georgian President told journalists.

One died and several wounded in four separate explosions in deferent parts of breakaway Abkhazia on March 27.

Abkhazian side accused Georgian guerrilla formations acting on orders from the Georgian secret services.
