(Tbilisi, March 9, Civil Georgia) – “The strange relations are between Georgia and Russia. There is more trust in relations with the United States then with Georgia,” Russian First Deputy Foreign Minister Viachslav Trubnikov stated at the new briefing in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Russian official commented United States’ intention to train Georgian troops. Trubnikov stated that Russia learned about Georgia’s intention to accept the US military assistance “from our US friend and not from our Georgian friends.”
Trubnikov said that Georgia and Russia should work jointly how to defeat criminals and terrorists in Pankisi gorge, because Russian citizens are among them.
