Azeri Foreign minister and Georgian Envoy Signed Protocol on Gas Transit

(Tbilisi, February 5, Civil Georgia) – Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Vilayat Quliyev and the Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Zurab Gumberidze, signed a protocol on the exchange of documents linked to the ratification of an agreement between Azerbaijan and Georgia on transit, of gas from Sah Daniz field on February 5.

Georgian Parliament ratified interstate agreement between Azerbaijan and Georgia on construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzrum natural gas pipeline on December 19 2001.

According to the agreement natural gas from Sah Daniz field of Azerbaijani section of the Caspian Sea will be transported to Turkey via Georgia.
