The Parliament Discusses the 2002 Budget Today

(Tbilisi, January 25, Civil Georgia) – The second reading of draft of the budget of 2002 is to be held at the Parliamentary special session on January 25. Parliamentary committees areholding consultations around the issue till then.

The Parliament approved the 2002 budget with the first reading on January 18 on the condition that the government would submit for confirmation a new version of the budget with increased revenues.

At the Parliamentary bureau session on January 24 it was decided that project of the budget is not complete and it needs to be worked up.
