Ex-Finance Minister Responsible For Budget Crisis – Results of Investigation Say
(Tbilisi. November 22. Civil Georgia) – The special commission for investigation of reasons of not fulfilling state budget of 2001 is to submit the document to the Parliament on November 22. According to the preliminary information ex-Finance Minister and the candidate to the post Zurab Nogaideli is criticized in the document and is regarded to be responsible for not fulfilling the budget along with the other authorities.
It is anticipated that the results of the investigation will worsen Nogaideli’s chances to be re-appointed on the post of the Finance Minister. The Parliament is to discuss his candidature today.
According to the amendments passed by the Parliament on October 23, expenditures in the budget of 2001 were reduced with 183 million GEL ($91 million).
