Hostage Drama Continues in Pankisi Gorge

Although kidnappers released abducted Aziz Khalilov yesterday they kept his father in hostage. Aziz Khalilov is wounded and his life is in danger.

According to the initial information, kidnappers were demanding $30,000 as a ransom from Khalilov’s family. According to the television company Rustavi 2 kidnappers were demanding $500,000 as a ransom but the information broadcasted was not precise.

The fate of Spaniard businessman abducted last November in still unclear. The Law Enforcement Agencies say they are detained in Pankisi gorge near Russian-Georgian border.
