Third Candidate Enters S.Ossetian Presidential Race

Inal Pukhaev, head of the Tskhinvali district administration, has applied to the South Ossetian Central Election Commission (CEC) for registration as a presidential candidate in the November 12 polls in the unrecognized republic, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee (PIC) reported on October 5.
 
Two other candidacies – South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoity and South Ossetian citizen Oleg Gabodze ? are also running in the polls.
 
Meanwhile, head of the Tbilisi-based Georgian-Ossetian Union ?Iber-Ironi? Maia Chigoeva-Tsaboshvili has also said she will enter the race. As of yet, she has not registered with the unrecognized republic?s Central Election Commission.
