Turkish Frigate at Georgian Navy Exercises

(Tbilisi, November 18, Civil Georgia) – Navy exercises are held Poti, town at Georgia?s Black Sea coast on November 18-21, Georgian Defense Ministry reports.

11 military boats of the Georgia navy 2 helicopters, as well as one frigate of the Turkish navy ?Phatih? participate in the military exercise Shield ? 2002.

According to the Defense Ministry 2000 soldiers of the Georgian armed forces take part in the exercises. 

The reports said earlier that the Abkhaz de facto authorities put their navy on high alert because of the Georgia?s military exercises near the breakaway Abkhazia.
