Abkhazia Protesters Posed to Widen the Rallies

(Tbilisi, January 28, Civil Georgia) – The term of an ultimatum by the displaced persons from Abkhazia demanding urgent action of the government expired today. The protesters appear posed to initiate nation-wide strikes starting tomorrow.

 Georgian gaovernment was pressured by the protesters to make final decision on disconinuing the presence of the Russian peacekeepers in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone.
