Georgia Welcomes ‘Democratic Process’ in Egypt

Georgia “welcomes the recent developments of the democratic processes” in Egypt and hopes that transition will be peaceful, which will express the will of the Egyptian people, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said on February 14.

“We are confident that the protection of the democratic principles and values will contribute to the maintenance of peace and stability not only in Egypt but in the entire region as well,” the Georgian MFA said in its first written statement on developments in Egypt and added that it would continue to watch closes processes in Egypt.
