MP’s Kidnapper Sentenced

(Tbilisi, March 18, Civil Georgia) – Tbilisi district court sentenced Konstantine Tsikhistavi 12 years imprisonment for abducting Georgian MP Petre Tsiskarishvili and his fiancйe on March 18.

Parliamentarian together with Anna Surmava was kidnapped in May 6, 2001 in Tbilisi, Georgian capital and was detained in Pankisi gorge for couple of weeks.

Tsikhistavi is suspected in other crimes as well, committed in Pankisi gorge.
