New Chairs of Two Parliamentary Committees Elected

Parliament elected on May 29 Georgian Dream MP from the Republican Party, Levan Berdzenishvili as new chairman of the committee for European integration, and GD MP Gela Samkharauli as chairman of the agrarian committee.
 
These posts became vacant in early May after GD MP from the Republican Party, Tina Khidasheli, who chaired the committee on European integration, was appointed as new Defense Minister, and GD MP from the Republican Party Gigla Agulashvili, who led the agrarian committee, became the Environment Protection Minister.

MP Samkharauli, who is a former member of now opposition Free Democrats party, and MP Berdzenishvili were deputy chairmen of their respective committees before the new appointment on May 29.
