Georgian Interior Minister, Armenian President Meet in Yerevan
Georgian Interior Minister Alexander Tchikaidze, who paid a two-day visit to Yerevan, met on December 2 Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
Armenian president’s office said that Sargsyan expressed hope the Georgian Interior Minister’s visit would contribute to closer cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries.
It also said that the Armenian President noted that “high-level political dialogue, constructive and warm relationship” between Armenia and Georgia will help efforts to “respond contemporary challenges” and to “find effective solutions to regional issues of mutual concern.”
During his visit to Yerevan, the Georgian Interior Minister also met Armenian police chief, Vladimir Gasparyan, and head of Armenia’s National Security Service, Gorik Akopyan.
