PM in Germany for GMF Informal Forum
PM Bidzina Ivanishvili took part in Germany in annual informal discussions on Georgia organized by the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF).
Held in Schloss Elmau luxury hotel in Bavarian Alps, informal forum features high-level European and American dignitaries; this year among the participants are Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves; Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt; Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs; former President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers; U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Thomas Melia.
PM Ivanishvili is accompanied by parliament speaker Davit Usupashvili; Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze; Economy Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili; State Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration Alexi Petriashvili; a lawmaker from parliamentary majority group Tinatin Khidasheli.
Last year President Saakashvili and then parliament speaker Davit Bakradze participated in similar informal discussions in Germany; Saakashvili also took part in the similar event this February.
