Deputy Defense Minister, Deputy Chief of Army Staff Visit Israel
Georgian Deputy Defense Minister Zaza Broladze and deputy chief of army staff Col. Vladimer Chachibaia are visiting Israel, Ministry of Defense said on Thursday.
MoD says that the purpose of the visit is to “deepen business relations” and “to plan joint projects” with Israeli “partners” of the Georgian state-owned military industrial enterprise Delta. MoD does not specify who the partners are.
MoD said that Delta, which employs about 2,000 people, “produces firearms, mortars, armored and infantry combat vehicles, artillery systems, universal combat modules; soldiers’ gear and uniforms, optical equipment, munitions, combat control systems and other military equipment.”
