Annual Inflation 0.6% in July
After five consecutive months of deflation, Georgia’s annual rate of inflation reached 0.6% in July, according to the state statistics office Geostat.
There was 0.9% deflation on monthly basis in July.
Although prices on food declined 1% year-on-year in July, transportation service prices rose 7% y/y. In its monthly reports on inflation Geostat was previously providing separately figures on annual fuel price changes, but has stopped doing it recently.
Prices of services for restaurants and hotels increased 4.7% y/y in July.
