Constitutional Court Chair Re-Elected

Georgia’s nine-member Constitutional Court re-elected as its chairman Giorgi Papuashvili for second five-year term on September 21.

Papuashvili was minister of environment before becoming chairman of the Constitutional Court in 2006.

Three members in the Constitutional Court are appointed by the President, three are elected by the Parliament and three others are appointed by the Supreme Court.
