The Dubai-based low-cost carrier, flydubai, said on September 12 it would launch Dubai-Tbilisi flights from November 4.
Flights will be operated twice a week with roundtrip ticket price starting at USD 270.
The carrier said it had received official seal of approval to start flights from Georgian Deputy Economy Minister Giorgi Karbelashvili during his visit to Dubai.
flydubai, established in 2008 and owned by the Dubai government, operates flights to over 40 destinations, including Baku and Yerevan.
Qatar Airways, one of the Arab world’s largest carriers, was also planning launch of flights to Tbilisi in November, but last month it announced about switching the launch date to February, 2012.
