Vashadze to Visit Vatican, Switzerland

Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze will visit Vatican and Switzerland on December 9-14, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.

During the visit to Vatican Vashadze will meet with Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign Order of Malta Jean-Pierre Mazery, Secretary for Relations with States of the Holy See Monsignor Dominique Mamberti and other officials.

In frames of his visit to Berne, the Georgian Foreign Minister will meet with his Swiss counterpart, Micheline Calmy-Rey and Economy Minister Doris Leuthard.

Switzerland represents Russia’s diplomatic interests in Georgia and Georgia’s interests in Russia after the two countries cut diplomatic ties after the August war
