S.Ossetia Marks ‘Independence Day’
Breakaway South Ossetia marked 19th anniversary of “independence” on September 20 with a military parade in the capital Tskhinvali.
In a congratulating message sent to South Ossetian leader, Eduard Kokoty, Russian President, Dmitry Medvedev, said that Russia would “further provide broad-range of assistance to the brotherly South Ossetian people.”
“Our joint intensive and painstaking efforts directed towards further development of relations between our states are bringing concrete results in such areas like rehabilitation and construction of infrastructure, strengthening of the state border, maintaining security and stability in the region,” Medvedev said in the message.
