Sides Meet at S.Ossetia Border for Routine Security Talks
The Georgian, South Ossetian and Russian sides hold a fourth meeting in frames of incident prevention and response mechanism, facilitated by EU Monitoring Mission, on September 3.
The meeting is held in a village of Ergneti on the breakaway South Ossetia’s administrative border.
Shota Utiashvili of the Georgian Interior Ministry told Imedi TV shortly before the meeting that the Georgian side would demand release of several Georgians who were arrested on August 31 by the South Ossetian side on the charges of “smuggling” timber from the breakaway region.
