The Russian General Prosecutor’s Office said on August 24, that Ukrainian volunteers and soldiers fought on the Georgian side during the last year’s war, the allegation which Russia has already voiced at least once in the past.
“Servicemen from the Ukrainian regular defence ministry units and at least 200 members of the UNA-UNSO nationalist organization participated in the armed aggression against South Ossetia,” the Russian news agencies reported quoting a statement of Russia’s Prosecutor General’s office.
